Carolina Giraldo Navarro, known to the world as Karol G, is a Colombian singer whose remarkable journey in the music industry began at a young age. Born in Medellin on February 14, 1991, she embarked on her musical path by appearing on the Colombian spinoff of the X Factor at just 14. Driven by a passion for music and a dream to be discovered like Justin Bieber, she posted cover songs on YouTube, hoping to catch the music world’s attention.

Karol G’s music journey to fame wasn’t easy. Universal Records in Miami declined to sign her, believing a woman would struggle in reggaeton. Undeterred, she and her father promoted her music independently, touring Colombia. In 2013, her collaboration with Nicky Jam gained recognition, and her 2017 collaboration with Bad Bunny propelled her to new heights.
She released her debut album “Unstoppable” in 2018, featuring “Ahora Me Llama” and other hits. Her 2019 album “Ocean” showcased a more relaxed sound with reggaeton roots. Her song “Tusa” featuring Nicki Minaj became a global sensation, adored by fans worldwide.
